This piece of and body philosophy paper, like it or not, will shape your future.

The Latin term 'Curriculum Vitae' actually translates to 'Course of Life'. Model! If your CV doesn't appeal to the reader then it is unlikely to space exploration get a second glance. So let's face it, if you don't put the effort in here, you are making a monumental mistake. Serv Qual Model! It's as simple as that. As a Redundancy Help user, we want you to bias succeed in your job hunt, so we have enlisted the people at qual model, CV Expert.com to give you all the advice you need, the do's and don'ts and much more. In these pages we will give universal advice to all career types, the rules that go right across the board on what a CV should seek to achieve, because without an effective CV, job interviews will be a rarity.

Also, we will disseminate even further to look at different job market sectors and the unique expectations of each sector, allowing you to further fine-tune your CV and get results. Structuring your CV (The 13 steps to CV Success) 1. Compact CV's Win Interviews. You may think that this is stating the obvious, but too many CV's resemble War Peace and recruiters don't have enough time to read each CV from mind cover to cover. If you try to include every scrap of information on your CV, it could end up in the bin. Remember the three 'P's: Your CV must be informative and relevant, but punchy too, highlighting only relevant or important points. If your current CV is crammed with pages and serv qual model pages of text, then your chances of being called for interview will lessen dramatically. Don't despair, though - in the following pages we will show you how to formulate an interview-winning CV! One very useful tip to keep the i have, information in serv model, your CV pertinent is to bias focus your employment history on the last 10 years or so, and only include previous positions in a simple list form (i.e. job title held, company name and qual dates). If a prospective employer wants to know more, they will call you in for interview so that they can ask you.

2. Sell Yourself. If you don't blow your own trumpet, then who will? You must be prepared to sell yourself throughout your CV in terms of should exploration your character, experience and serv achievements. Begin your CV with a 50 to 70-word profile, which briefly encapsulates all of the article topics, points above. Use active words such as gained, co-ordinated, and managed. Be sure to sprinkle in one or two achievements. For example, if you hold an MBA, say so in your profile as well as in the education section. Similarly, a strong achievement in serv model, the workplace is also worth mentioning here as well as in the employment history section.

You should look at the profile as a preview of the mind philosophy, rest of your CV. Model! If the content of the mind, profile is serv qual model impressive, then the Essay of Scripture, reader will be encouraged to read on and find out more about you. 3. Work Experience. One thing that you must bear in mind here is to list your employment in qual, reverse order, starting with your most recent role first. There is a dream speech little point in beginning your work experience section with a role that you occupied ten years ago, and bears little or no resemblance to serv the role that you are applying for. As stated previously, you should focus upon jobs held and experience gained during the past ten years or so and include the rest in mind and body philosophy, a brief list form. Serv! This helps to both reduce the bias psychology, length of your CV in general, and prevents a recruiter being bombarded with more information than they need.

For each of your detailed employment entries, you should begin the serv qual model, description by offering 10-20 words on what the company actually do - If a recruiter knows what kind of environment you were working in, then the rest of the description will make twice as much sense to them. Many candidates don't realise the cultural psychology, importance of this particular point and lose out on valuable opportunities. Give a positive description of your role and objectives within the job. Be sure to mention any equipment or systems you became adept at using. As your employment goes further back, you should lessen the length and detail of each job description. Qual! This will highlight your more recent roles and experience. Also, the amount of time you spent in psychology, a role is a factor. If your most recent role was a short-term contract, then briefly summarise it, and then go into model, greater detail when detailing the most recent full-time role that you previously occupied. Think about the achievements and experience you have gained within each post and insert them in bullet-point form after the job description for each post. Think carefully about these key points and write them in a punchy, sales-like manner.

If possible, use hard facts and statistics to hm outlet give a particular achievement more backbone, as the use of qual solid figures adds credibility to this information. Where you place information about your education depends on the amount of work experience that you have gained after gaining any official qualifications, such as HND/C's and Degrees. A recent graduate's CV, for example, will go straight into education after the profile section, whereas a seasoned professional should list educational qualifications after their employment history, typically on the second page of their CV. Wherever you place your education section, you should be sure to structure it so that it shows your most important qualifications first, listing qualification grade and where you studied. If you have room, you may also wish to include details of the subjects or modules studied and and body brief details of your final dissertation, if any. Any additional qualifications supporting these 'main' ones, such as 'A' levels or GCSE's should be listed below, in reverse order of serv when they were obtained. Article! Descriptions of these supporting qualifications should be kept as brief as possible. However, you should include details such as places of study and dates, as this information adds credibility to your qualifications. 6. Contact Details and Address. You should include every possible contact method at your disposal, including email address.

Always put this information right at the top, slightly smaller than your main body text, but not so small as to model be difficult to and body read. This places your contact details within 'easy reach', but does not distract the reader too much from the profile and other main body sections. Remember that a prospective employer may wish to model contact you right away, so include your mobile or work number if possible. Many candidates have qualms about including work or other daytime telephone numbers, but remember that if a recruiter calls you on one of these numbers, they will know that discretion is required. If you get a call at an inconvenient time, simply say 'I can't talk now', and ask for a name and number so you can call them at a more convenient time. 'Round-the-clock' contact information will maximise your exposure and ensure that you will be presented with all available opportunities because you are easily contactable. 7. Spelling and Grammar. Overlook spelling grammar considerations at psychology, your peril - just one mistake can put the reader off and serv model consequently your otherwise dazzling CV could end up in the wastebasket. No employer would be keen to cultural psychology employ someone who cannot be bothered to correct a few spelling grammatical errors in a two or three-page document, because such lack of serv qual attention to detail does not speak well of the candidate. Also, it is generally understood that details of any strong political or religious affiliation should be omitted. Don't bother to list any references on king's i have a dream speech, your CV. Your experience and suitability alone should decide whether or not you are called in for serv model interview.

You should take details of referees to we fund exploration interviews with you, however, as this is the most likely point when a prospective employer may require them. You should choose your referees carefully. The best references, i.e. those that give the most accurate measure of your abilities, are those that come from current or recent employers. Also, you should make the referees aware of the possibility that they be contacted. Unsolicited reference requests are often met with ambiguity, which will have a damaging effect on your application.

Examples of each of these CV categories can be found later in this section. Decide which category you fall into and stick to the general format suggested by the examples we have provided.

For example, a graduate CV would have its own unique format, placing greater importance on qualifications by listing these first after the profile. Qual! In 1990, over 2 million cases of child abuse and neglect were reported to social service agencies. In the serv model, period 1979 through 1988, about 2,000 child deaths (ages 0-17) were recorded annually as a result of abuse and neglect (McClain et al., 1993), and an additional 160,000 cases resulted in serious injuries in 1990 alone (Daro and McCurdy, 1991). However tragic and should space exploration sensational, the counts of deaths and serious injuries provide limited insight into the pervasive long-term social, behavioral, and serv model cognitive consequences of child abuse and on The Mandate—Voices of Scripture neglect. Reports of child maltreatment alone also reveal little about the interactions among individuals, families, communities, and society that lead to such incidents. American society has not yet recognized the complex origins or the profound consequences of child victimization. The services required for children who have been abused or neglected, including medical care, family counseling, foster care, and specialized education, are expensive and are often subsidized by governmental funds. Serv Model? The General Accounting Office (1991) has estimated that these services cost more than $500 million annually. Equally disturbing, research suggests that child maltreatment cases are highly related to social problems such as juvenile delinquency, substance abuse, and violence, which require additional services and severely affect the quality of life for many American families. The Importance Of Child Maltreatment Research. The challenges of conducting research in the field of child maltreatment are enormous.

Although we understand comparatively little about the causes, definitions, treatment, and prevention of child abuse and neglect, we do know enough to recognize that the origins and consequences of child victimization are not confined to the months or years in which reported incidents actually occurred. For those who survive, the long-term consequences of child maltreatment appear to be more damaging to should we fund space exploration, victims and their families, and qual more costly for society, than the immediate or acute injuries themselves. Yet little is on The Mandate—Voices invested in understanding the factors that predispose, mitigate, or prevent the behavioral and social consequences of child maltreatment. The panel has identified five key reasons why child maltreatment research should be viewed as a central nexus of serv qual more comprehensive research activity. Research on child maltreatment can provide scientific information that will help with the solution of a broad range of individual and space social disorders. Research in serv model this field is Essay Mandate—Voices demonstrating that experiences with child abuse and neglect are a major component of many child and adult mental and behavioral disorders, including delayed development, poor academic performance, delinquency, depression, alcoholism, substance abuse, deviant sexual behaviors, and domestic and criminal violence. Many forms of child abuse and neglect are treatable and avoidable, and many severe consequences of model child maltreatment can be diminished with proper attention and assistance.

Research on child abuse and neglect provides an and body philosophy, opportunity for society to address, and ultimately prevent, a range of individual and social disorders that impair the health and quality of life of millions of America's children as well as their families and communities. Research on child maltreatment can provide insights and knowledge that can directly benefit victims of child abuse and neglect and their families. Individuals who have been victimized as a result of child maltreatment deserve to have research efforts dedicated to their experience, in the same manner as our society invests in scientific research for burn victims, victims of genetic or infectious diseases, or those who are subjected to other forms of trauma. Yet the families of child abuse and neglect victims are often not active in social and political organizations. Unable to speak for themselves or employ paid representatives to promote their interests, they have been discounted and overlooked in the process of determining what social problems deserve public resources and attention from the American research community. Research on child maltreatment can reduce long-term economic costs associated with treating the consequences of child maltreatment, in areas such as mental health services, foster care, juvenile delinquency, and family violence. Economic issues must also be considered in evaluating long-term treatment costs and loss of earnings associated with the consequences of model child victimization.

One analysis cited by should the General Accounting Office that used prevalence and treatment rates generated from multiple studies (Daro, 1988) calculated potential fiscal costs resulting from child abuse estimates as follows: (1) Assuming a 20 percent delinquency rate among adolescent abuse victims, requiring an average of 2 years in a correctional institution, the public cost of their incarceration would be more than $14.8 million. Serv Qual? (2) If 1 percent of severely abused children suffer permanent disabilities, the annual cost of community services (estimated at $13 per day) for treating developmentally disabled children would increase by Theological Mandate—Voices of Scripture $1.1 million. (3) The future lost productivity of severely abused children is $658-1300 million annually, if their impairments limit their potential earnings by serv qual model only 5-10 percent. Research on child maltreatment can provide empirical evidence to improve the quality of many legal and organizational decisions that have broad-based social implications. Bias? Government officials, judges, legislators, social service personnel, child welfare advocates, and others make hundreds of qual crucial decisions each day about the lives and futures of child victims and their offenders. These decisions include the cultural psychology, selection of cases of suspected child abuse and neglect for investigation and determinations about model which children should remain with families in which abuse has occurred. Individuals making such decisions will benefit from informed guidance on the effectiveness and consequences of and body philosophy various social interventions that address child maltreatment. Such guidance can evolve from research on the outcomes of alternative responses to reports of child abuse and qual model neglect, results of therapeutic and bias social service interventions, and cost-effectiveness studies. Qual? For example, research that describes the conditions under which family counseling and family preservation efforts are effective has tremendous implications for the importance of attachment relationships for children and the disruption of these relationships brought on by foster care. Research on the etiology of child maltreatment can provide a scientific basis for argumentative topics, primary prevention of child abuse#151;that is, through programs that will counteract etiological factors before they have a chance to produce child abuse in the next generation. Research On Child Maltreatment Is Currently. Undervalued And Undeveloped.

Research in the field of child maltreatment studies is relatively undeveloped when compared with related fields such as child development, so- cial welfare, and criminal violence. Although no specific theory about the causes of child abuse and serv qual neglect has been substantially replicated across studies, significant progress has been gained in the past few decades in identifying the dimensions of complex phenomena that contribute to the origins of child maltreatment. Efforts to bias psychology, improve the qual model, quality of research on any group of children are dependent on the value that society assigns to the potential inherent in bias young lives. Although more adults are available in qual American society today as service providers to care for cultural bias, children than was the case in model 1960, a disturbing number of argumentative article topics recent reports have concluded that American children are in trouble (Fuchs and Reklis, 1992; National Commission on Children, 1991; Children's Defense Fund, 1991). Efforts to encourage greater investments in research on children will be futile unless broader structural and social issues can be addressed within our society. Research on general problems of violence, substance addiction, social inequality, unemployment, poor education, and serv qual the treatment of children in the social services system is incomplete without attention to child maltreatment issues. Research on child maltreatment can play a key role in informing major social policy decisions concerning the services that should be made available to children, especially children in families or neighborhoods that experience significant stress and violence.

As a nation, we already have developed laws and regulatory approaches to reduce and prevent childhood injuries and deaths through actions such as restricting hot water temperatures and requiring mandatory child restraints in automobiles. These important precedents suggest how research on risk factors can provide informed guidance for social efforts to article, protect all of America's children in both familial and other settings. Not only has our society invested relatively little in research on children, but we also have invested even less in research on children whose families are characterized by multiple problems, such as poverty, substance abuse, violence, welfare dependency, and serv child maltreatment. In part, this slower development is influenced by the complexities of research on major social problems. But the state of research on this topic could be advanced more rapidly with increased investment of funds. King's A Dream Speech? In the serv model, competition for scarce research funds, the underinvestment in child maltreatment research needs to be understood in the context of bias, prejudice, and Essay Theological Mandate—Voices of Scripture the lack of a clear political constituency for serv model, children in mind and body general and disadvantaged children in serv qual model particular (Children's Defense Fund, 1991; National Commission on Children, 1991).

Factors such as racism, ethnic discrimination, sexism, class bias, institutional and professional jealousies, and social inequities influence the development of our national research agenda (Bell, 1992, Huston, 1991). The evolving research agenda has also struggled with limitations im- posed by attempting to transfer the results of sample-specific studies to hm outlet, diverse groups of individuals. The roles of culture, ethnic values, and economic factors pervade the development of parenting practices and family dynamics. Serv Model? In setting a research agenda for this field, ethnic diversity and multiple cultural perspectives are essential to improve the quality of the research program and to overcome systematic biases that have restricted its development. Researchers must address ethical and legal issues that present unique obligations and dilemmas regarding selection of subjects, provision of services, and disclosure of data. For example, researchers who discover an undetected incident of child abuse in the course of an interview are required by state laws to disclose the identities of the victim and offender(s), if known, to appropriate child welfare officials.

These mandatory reporting requirements, adopted in the interests of king's i have a dream speech protecting children, may actually cause long-term damage to children by restricting the scope of serv research studies and discouraging scientists from developing the knowledge base necessary to article, guide social interventions. Substantial efforts are now required to reach beyond the limitations of current knowledge and to gain new insights that can improve the quality of social service efforts and public policy decisions affecting the health and welfare of abused and neglected children and their families. Most important, collaborative long-term research ventures are necessary to diminish social, professional, and institutional prejudices that have restricted the development of a comprehensive knowledge base that can improve understanding of, and response to, child maltreatment. Dimensions Of Child Abuse And Neglect. The human dimensions of child maltreatment are enormous and tragic. The U.S. Model? Advisory Board on Child Abuse and Neglect has called the problem of i have a dream speech child maltreatment ''an epidemic in American society, one that requires a critical national emergency response. The scale and severity of child abuse and serv qual model neglect has caused various public and argumentative topics private organizations to mobilize efforts to raise public awareness of individual cases and societal trends, to improve the reporting and tracking of child maltreatment cases, to strengthen the responses of social service systems, and to develop an effective and fair system for serv model, protecting and offering services to victims while also punishing adults who deliberately harm children or place them in danger. Over the past several decades, a growing number of state and federal funding programs, governmental reports, specialized journals, and research centers, as well as national and international societies and conferences, have examined various dimensions of the problem of child maltreatment. The results of these efforts have been inconsistent and we fund exploration uneven.

In addressing aspects of each new revelation of serv qual abuse or each promising new intervention, research efforts often have become diffuse, fragmented, specific, and narrow. What is lacking is a coordinated approach and Essay on The a general conceptual framework that can add new depth to qual, our understanding of child maltreatment. A coordinated approach can accommodate diverse perspectives while providing direction and guidance in establishing research priorities and cultural bias psychology synthesizing research knowledge. Organizational mechanisms are also needed to facilitate the application and integration of research on child maltreatment in related areas such as child development, family violence, substance abuse, and juvenile delinquency. Child maltreatment is not a new problem, yet concerted service, research, and policy attention toward it is just beginning.

Although isolated studies of child maltreatment appeared in the medical and sociological literature in the first half of the twentieth century, the publication of serv qual model The Battered Child Syndrome by bias C. Henry Kempe and associates (1962) is generally considered the model, first definitive paper in the field in the United States. The efforts of Kempe and others to publicize disturbing medical experience with child abuse and neglect led to the passage of the first Child Abuse Prevention and Treatment Act in 1974 (P.L. 93-247). The act, which has been amended several times (most recently in 1992), established a governmental program designed to guide and consolidate national and state data collection efforts regarding reports of child abuse and neglect, conduct national surveys of household violence, and sponsor research and demonstration programs to prevent, identify, and exploration treat child abuse and neglect. However, the federal government's leadership role in building a research base in this area has been complicated by changes and inconsistencies in research plans and priorities, limited funding, politicized peer review, fragmentation of effort among various federal agencies, poorly scheduled proposal review deadlines, and bias introduced by serv competing institutional objectives. 1 The lack of comprehensive, long-term planning for a research base has resulted in a field characterized by contradictions, conflict, and fragmentation. The role of the argumentative article topics, National Center for Child Abuse and Neglect as the lead federal agency in supporting research in this field has been sharply criticized (U.S. Advisory Board, 1991). Many observers believe that the federal government lacks leadership, funding, and an effective research program for studies on child maltreatment. The Complexity Of Child Maltreatment.

Child maltreatment was originally seen in the form of the battered child, often portrayed in terms of physical abuse. Today, four general categories of child maltreatment are generally recognized: (1) physical. abuse, (2) sexual abuse, (3) neglect, and (4) emotional maltreatment. Each category covers a range of behaviors, as discussed in Chapter 2. These four categories have become the focus of separate studies of incidence and prevalence, etiology, prevention, consequences, and treatment, with uneven development of serv qual research within each area and poor integration of knowledge across areas.

Each category has developed its own typology and framework of reference terms, revealing certain similarities (such as the importance of developmental perspectives in hm outlet considering the consequences of maltreatment) but also important differences (such as the predatory behavior associated with some forms of sexual abuse that do not appear in the etiology of other forms of child maltreatment). In addition to the category of child maltreatment, the duration, source, intensity, timing, and situational context of incidents of child victimization are now recognized as important factors in studying the origin and consequences of child maltreatment. Yet information about these factors is rarely requested or recorded by social agencies or health professionals in the process of serv qual identifying or documenting reports of child maltreatment. Furthermore, research is often weakened by variation in research definitions of child maltreatment, bias in king's i have a dream speech the recruitment of serv qual research subjects, the absence of cultural bias psychology information regarding circumstances surrounding maltreatment reports, the absence of serv qual measures to assess selected variables under study, and the absence of a developmental perspective in many research studies. The co-occurrence of different forms of child maltreatment has been examined only to a limited extent.

Relatively little is known about areas of similarity and differences in terms of causes, consequences, prevention, and treatment of selected types of child abuse and neglect. Inconsistencies in definitions often preclude comparative analyses of clinical studies. For example, studies of sexual abuse have indicated wide variations in its prevalence, often as a result of differences in the types of behavior that might be included in the definition adopted by each research investigator. Emotional abuse is also a matter of bias controversy in some quarters, primarily because of serv qual broad variations in its definition. Research on child maltreatment is hm outlet also complicated by the fragmentation of services and responses by qual model which our society addresses specific reports of child maltreatment. Cases may involve children who are victims or witnesses to single or repeated incidents of child abuse and neglect.

Sadly, child maltreatment often involves various family members, relatives, or other individuals who reside in the homes or neighborhoods of the affected children. Adult figures may be perpetrators of offensive incidents or mediators in intervention or prevention efforts. The importance of the social ecological framework of the child has only recently been recognized in studies of maltreatment. Responses to child abuse and neglect involve a variety of social institutions, including commu- nities, schools, hospitals, churches, youth associations, the media, and other social structures that provide services for children.

Such groups and organizations present special intervention opportunities to reduce the scale and scope of the problem of child maltreatment, but their activities are often poorly documented and uncoordinated. Finally, governmental offices at the local, state, and federal levels have legal and social obligations to develop programs and resources to address child maltreatment, and their role is critical in developing a research agenda for Essay on The, this field. In the past, the research agenda has been determined predominantly by pragmatic needs in the development and delivery of treatment and prevention services rather than by theoretical paradigms, a process that facilitates short-term studies of qual specialized research priorities but impedes the development of a well-organized, coherent body of we fund exploration scientific knowledge that can contribute over time to model, understanding fundamental principles and issues. Theological Mandate—Voices? As a result, the research in this field has been generally viewed by the scientific community as fragmented, diffuse, decentralized, and of poor quality. The research literature in the field of child maltreatment is immense#151;over 2000 items are included in the panel's research bibliography, a portion of which is serv referenced in this report.

Despite this quantity of literature, researchers generally agree that the quality of research on child maltreatment is relatively weak in comparison to health and social science research studies in areas such as family systems and child development. Only a few prospective studies of child maltreatment have been undertaken, and most studies rely on the use of mind and body clinical samples (which may exclude important segments of the research population) or adult memories. Both types of qual samples are problematic and can produce biased results. Clinical samples may not be representative of all cases of child maltreatment. For example, we know from epidemiologic studies of disease of cases that were derived from hospital records that, unless the phenomenon of interest always comes to a service provider for treatment, there exist undetected and untreated cases in the general population that are often quite different from those who have sought treatment. Similarly, when studies rely on adult memories of childhood experiences, recall bias is always an issue. Longitudinal studies are quite rare, and some studies that are described as longitudinal actually consist of hybrid designs followed over time. To ensure some measure of quality, the panel relied largely on studies that had been published in the peer-reviewed scientific literature. More rigorous scientific criteria (such as the article, use of model appropriate theory and methodology in the conduct of the study) were considered by the panel, but were not adopted because little of the existing work would meet such selection. criteria.

Given the early stage of development of this field of research, the panel believes that even weak studies contain some useful information, especially when they suggest clinical insights, a new perspective, or a point of departure from article, commonly held assumptions. Thus, the report draws out issues based on clinical studies or studies that lack sufficient control samples, but the panel refrains from drawing inferences based on this literature. The panel believes that future research reviews of the child maltreatment literature would benefit from the identification of explicit criteria that could guide the selection of exemplary research studies, such as the following: The extent to which the study is model guided by mind and body philosophy theory regarding the origins and pathways of serv qual child abuse and neglect; The use of appropriate and replicable instrumentation (including outcome measures) in the conduct of the study; and.

The selection of appropriate study samples, including the use of experimental and cultural psychology control groups in etiological studies or in the analysis of outcomes of child maltreatment or intervention efforts. For the serv qual, most part, only a few studies will score well in each of the above categories. It becomes problematic, therefore, to rate the value of studies which may score high in one category but not in others. The panel has relied primarily on studies conducted in the past decade, since earlier research work may not meet contemporary standards of methodological rigor. However, citations to earlier studies are included in this report where they are thought to be particularly useful and when research investigators provided careful assessments and analysis of issues such as definition, interrelationships of various types of abuse, and mind and body philosophy the social context of child maltreatment. A Comparison With Other Fields of Family and qual model Child Research. A comparison with the mind and body, field of studies on family functioning may illustrate another point about the status of the studies on child maltreatment. Qual Model? The literature on bias psychology, normal family functioning or socialization effects differs in serv many respects from the literature on child abuse and neglect. Family sociology research has a coherent body of literature and reasonable consensus about what constitutes high-quality parenting in middle-class, predominantly White populations.

Family functioning studies have focused predominantly on large, nonclinical populations, exploring styles of parenting and parenting practices that generate different kinds and levels of competence, mental health, and character in children. Studies of family functioning have tended to follow cohorts of hm outlet subjects over long periods to identify the effects of serv model variations in childrearing practices and patterns on children's. competence and adjustment that are not a function of social class and circumstances. By contrast, the vast and burgeoning literature on child abuse and exploration neglect is applied research concerned largely with the adverse effects of personal and social pathology on qual, children. The research is often derived from very small samples selected by clinicians and case workers. Research is generally cross-sectional, and almost without exception the samples use impoverished families characterized by multiple problems, including substance abuse, unemployment, transient housing, and so forth. Until recently, researchers demonstrated little regard for incorporating appropriate ethnic and cultural variables in comparison and control groups. In the past decade, significant improvements have occurred in the development of child maltreatment research, but key problems remain in the area of hm outlet definitions, study designs, and the use of instrumentation. As the nature of research on child abuse and neglect has evolved over time, scientists and practitioners have likewise changed. The psychopathologic model of child maltreatment has been expanded to include models that stress the interactions of individual, family, neighborhood, and larger social systems.

The role of qual ethnic and cultural issues are acquiring an emerging importance in formulating parent-child and family-community relationships. Earlier simplistic conceptionalizations of perpetrator-victim relationships are evolving into multiple-focus research projects that examine antecedents in family histories, current situational relationships, ecological and neighborhood issues, and article interactional qualities of relationships between parent-child and qual offender-victim. Psychology? In addition, emphases in qual treatment, social service, and hm outlet legal programs combine aspects of both law enforcement and serv qual model therapy, reflecting an international trend away from hm outlet, punishment, toward assistance, for families in trouble. The commissioner of the qual model, Administration for hm outlet, Children, Youth, and Families in the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services requested that the National Academy of Sciences convene a study panel to undertake a comprehensive examination of the qual model, theoretical and pragmatic research needs in the area of child maltreatment. The Panel on Research on Child Abuse and Neglect was asked specifically to: Review and assess research on topics, child abuse and neglect, encompassing work funded by the Administration for Children, Youth, and Families and other known sources under public and private auspices; Identify research that provides knowledge relevant to the field; and. Recommend research priorities for the next decade, including new. areas of research that should be funded by public and private agencies and suggestions regarding fields that are no longer a priority for funding.

The report resulting from this study provides recommendations for allocating existing research funds and also suggests funding mechanisms and topic areas to which new resources could be allocated or enhanced resources could be redirected. By focusing this report on serv model, research priorities and the needs of the research community, the panel's efforts were distinguished from related activities, such as the reports of the U.S. Hm Outlet? Advisory Board on Child Abuse and Neglect, which concentrate on the policy issues in qual model the field of child maltreatment. The request for recommendations for research priorities recognizes that existing studies on child maltreatment require careful evaluation to improve the evolution of the field and to build appropriate levels of human and financial resources for these complex research problems. King's I Have Speech? Through this review, the panel has examined the strengths and serv weaknesses of cultural bias psychology past research and identified areas of knowledge that represent the greatest promise for advancing understanding of, and dealing more effectively with, the problem of child maltreatment.

In conducting this review, the panel has recognized the special status of studies of qual model child maltreatment. The experience of child abuse or neglect from any perspective, including victim, perpetrator, professional, or witness, elicits strong emotions that may distort the design, interpretation, or support of empirical studies. The role of the media in dramatizing selected cases of child maltreatment has increased public awareness, but it has also produced a climate in which scientific objectivity may be sacrificed in should space the name of model urgency or humane service. Many concerned citizens, legislators, child advocates, and article topics others think we already know enough to address the qual, root causes of should child maltreatment. Critical evaluations of qual model treatment and prevention services are not supported due to both a lack of funding and a lack of appreciation for the role that scientific analysis can play in on The Mandate—Voices improving the model, quality of existing services and identifying new opportunities for interventions. The existing research base is small in volume and spread over a wide variety of king's i have a dream topics. The contrast between the qual model, importance of the problem and the difficulty of approaching it has encouraged the exploration, panel to proceed carefully, thoroughly distinguishing suppositions from facts when they appear. Research on child maltreatment is at a crossroads#151;we are now in a position to merge this research field with others to incorporate multiple perspectives, broaden research samples, and focus on fundamental issues that have the potential to strengthen, reform, or replace existing public policy and social programs. Serv Qual? We have arrived at a point where we can. recognize the complex interplay of forces in the origins and consequences of mind and body philosophy child abuse and neglect. Qual? We also recognize the limitations of our knowledge about the effects of king's i have speech different forms of social interventions (e.g., home visitations, foster care, family treatment programs) for changing the developmental pathways of serv qual abuse victims and their families.

The Importance Of A Child-Oriented Framework. The field of child maltreatment studies has often divided research into the types of child maltreatment under consideration (such as physical and sexual abuse, child neglect, and emotional maltreatment). Within each category, researchers and practitioners have examined underlying causes or etiology, consequences, forms of treatment or other interventions, and prevention programs. Each category has developed its own typology and framework of reference terms, and researchers within each category often publish in separate journals and attend separate professional meetings. Over a decade ago, the National Research Council Committee on Child Development Research and Public Policy published a report titled Services for Children: An Agenda for philosophy, Research (1981). Commenting on the development of model various government services for children, the report noted that observations of children's needs were increasingly distorted by the unmanageably complex, expensive, and and body philosophy confusing categorical service structure that had produced fragmented and model sometimes contradictory programs to address child health and nutrition requirements (p. Philosophy? 15-16). The committee concluded that the actual experiences of children and their families in different segments of society and the conditions of their homes, neighborhoods, and communities needed more systematic study. The report further noted that we need to learn more about who are the important people in children's lives, including parents, siblings, extended family, friends, and caretakers outside the family, and what these people do for children, when, and where.

These same conclusions can be applied to studies of child maltreatment. Our panel considered, but did not endorse, a framework that would emphasize differences in the categories of serv qual child abuse or neglect. We also considered a framework that would highlight differences in the current system of detecting, investigating, or responding to child maltreatment. In contrast to conceptualizing this report in terms of categories of maltreatment or responses of the social system to child maltreatment, the panel presents a child-oriented research agenda that emphasizes the importance of knowing more about the backgrounds and experiences of developing children and their families, within a broader social context that includes their friends, neighborhoods, and communities. This framework stresses the importance of knowing more about the qualitative differences between children who suffer episodic experiences of abuse or neglect and those for whom mal- treatment is a chronic part of their lives. And this approach highlights the need to know more about circumstances that affect the topics, consequences, and therefore the treatment, of child maltreatment, especially circumstances that may be affected by family, cultural, or ethnic factors that often remain hidden in small, isolated studies.

An Ecological Developmental Perspective. The panel has adopted an ecological developmental perspective to examine factors in the child, family, or society that can exacerbate or mitigate the incidence and destructive consequences of child maltreatment. Model? In the and body, panel's view, this perspective reflects the understanding that development is a process involving transactions between the growing child and the social environment or ecology in which development takes place. Positive and negative factors merit attention in shaping a research agenda on child maltreatment. We have adopted a perspective that recognizes that dysfunctional families are often part of a dysfunctional environment. The relevance of child maltreatment research to child development studies and other research fields is only now being examined.

New methodologies and new theories of child maltreatment that incorporate a developmental perspective can provide opportunities for researchers to consider the interaction of multiple factors, rather than focusing on single causes or short-term effects. Serv Model? What is required is the mobilization of new structures of support and we fund space exploration resources to concentrate research efforts on significant areas that offer the greatest promise of serv qual improving our understanding of, and our responses to, child abuse and neglect. Our report extends beyond what is, to what could be, in a society that fosters healthy development in children and families. We cannot simply build a research agenda for exploration, the existing social system; we need to develop one that independently challenges the system to adapt to new perspectives, new insights, and new discoveries. The fundamental theme of the report is the recognition that research efforts to serv qual model, address child maltreatment should be enhanced and incorporated into a long-term plan to improve the on The Theological Mandate—Voices of Scripture, quality of children's lives and the lives of their families. By placing maltreatment within the framework of healthy development, for serv qual model, example, we can identify unique sources of intervention for infants, preschool children, school-age children, and adolescents. Each stage of development presents challenges that must be resolved in order for a child to achieve productive forms of on The thinking, perceiving, and behaving as an adult. Serv Qual Model? The special needs of a newborn infant significantly differ from those of hm outlet a toddler or preschool child.

Children in model the early years of elementary school have different skills and distinct experiential levels from those of preadolescent years. Adolescent boys and girls demon- strate a range of should space awkward and exploratory behaviors as they acquire basic social skills necessary to move forward into serv qual model adult life. Most important, developmental research has identified the bias psychology, significant influences of qual model family, schools, peers, neighborhoods, and the broader society in bias psychology supporting or constricting child development. Understanding the phenomenon of child abuse and serv qual model neglect within a developmental perspective poses special challenges. As noted earlier, research literature on child abuse and neglect is generally organized by the category or type of maltreatment; integrated efforts have not yet been achieved. I Have A Dream? For example, research has not yet compared and contrasted the causes of physical and sexual abuse of a preschool child or the differences between emotional maltreatment of toddlers and adolescents, although all these examples fall within the domain of child maltreatment. A broader conceptual framework for research will elicit data that can facilitate such comparative analyses. By placing research in the framework of factors that foster healthy development, the ecological developmental perspective can enhance understanding of the research agenda for child abuse and neglect.

The developmental perspective can improve the quality of treatment and prevention programs, which often focus on serv model, particular groups, such as young mothers who demonstrate risk factors for abuse of king's i have speech newborns, or sexual offenders who molest children. There has been little effort to cut across the categorical lines established within these studies to understand points of convergence or divergence in studies on child abuse and neglect. The ecological developmental perspective can also improve our understanding of the consequences of child abuse and neglect, which may occur with increased or diminished intensity over a developmental cycle, or in different settings such as the serv qual, family or the school. Initial effects may be easily identified and addressed if the abuse is detected early in the child's development, and medical and psychological services are available for the victim and the family. Undetected incidents, or childhood experiences discovered later in philosophy adult life, require different forms of treatment and intervention. In many cases, incidents of abuse and neglect may go undetected and unreported, yet the child victim may display aggression, delinquency, substance addiction, or other problem behaviors that stimulate responses within the social system. Finally, an ecological developmental perspective can enhance intervention and qual model prevention programs by mind identifying different requirements and qual model potential effects for different age groups.

Children at exploration, separate stages of model their developmental cycle have special coping mechanisms that present barriers to#151;and opportunities for#151;the treatment and prevention of child abuse and neglect. I Have Speech? Intervention programs need to model, consider the extent to which children may have already experienced some form of maltreatment in order to. evaluate successful outcomes. In addition, the perspective facilitates evaluation of which settings are the most promising locus for interventions. A series of national reports associated with the health and welfare of children have been published in the past decade, many of which have identified the hm outlet, issue of child abuse and neglect as one that deserves sustained attention and creative programmatic solutions. In their 1991 report, Beyond Rhetoric , the National Commission on Children noted that the fragmentation of social services has resulted in the nation's children being served on model, the basis of their most obvious condition or problem rather than being served on the basis of multiple needs. Although the needs of these children are often the Essay Mandate—Voices, same and are often broader than the mission of any single agency emotionally disturbed children are often served by the mental health system, delinquent children by serv qual model the juvenile justice system, and a dream speech abused or neglected children by the protective services system (National Commission on Children, 1991). In their report, the commission called for the protection of abused and neglected children through more comprehensive child protective services, with a strong emphasis on model, efforts to keep children with their families or to bias, provide permanent placement for those removed from their homes. In setting health goals for the year 2000, the serv qual, Public Health Service recognized the problem of child maltreatment and recommended improvements in Essay Mandate—Voices reporting and diagnostic services, and model prevention and educational interventions (U.S.

Public Health Service, 1990). For example, the report, Health People 2000 , described the four types of child maltreatment and recommended that the on The Theological, rising incidence (identified as 25.2 per qual model 1,000 in 1986) should be reversed to less than 25.2 in the year 2000. Hm Outlet? These public health targets are stated as reversing increasing trends rather than achieving specific reductions because of difficulties in qual model obtaining valid and reliable measures of child maltreatment. The report also included recommendations to hm outlet, expand the implementation of state level review systems for unexplained child deaths, and to increase the number of states in which at least 50 percent of children who are victims of physical or sexual abuse receive appropriate treatment and follow-up evaluations as a means of breaking the intergenerational cycle of abuse. The U.S.

Advisory Board on Child Abuse and Neglect issued reports in 1990 and 1991 which include national policy and research recommendations. The 1991 report presented a range of serv qual research options for action, highlighting the following priorities (U.S. Advisory Board on Child Abuse and Neglect, 1991:110-113): To increase general knowledge about the causes, precipitants, consequences, prevention, and mind treatment of child abuse and neglect; To increase knowledge about the child protection system; To increase specific knowledge about the serv qual, social and philosophy cultural factors related to child maltreatment; To increase human resources in the field of research on child abuse and neglect; To ensure that procedures for stimulation and analysis of research on child abuse and neglect are scientifically credible;

To facilitate the serv model, planning of research; and. To reduce obstacles to the generation of exploration knowledge about child abuse and neglect. This report differs from those described above because its primary focus is on serv qual, establishing a research agenda for the field of studies on child abuse and neglect. In contrast to the mandate of the U.S. Advisory Board on Child Abuse and hm outlet Neglect, the panel was not asked to prepare policy recommendations for serv qual, federal and state governments in developing child maltreatment legislation and programs. The panel is clearly aware of the need for services for abused and neglected children and of the difficult policy issues that must be considered by the Congress, the federal government, the states, and municipal governments in responding to the distress of children and families in on The Theological Mandate—Voices crisis. The charge to this panel was to design a research agenda that would foster the development of scientific knowledge that would provide fundamental insights into the causes, identification, incidence, consequences, treatment, and prevention of child maltreatment. This knowledge can enable public and private officials to execute their responsibilities more effectively, more equitably, and more compassionately and serv qual empower families and communities to resolve their problems and conflicts in a manner that strengthens their internal resources and reduces the need for external interventions. Early studies on article, child abuse and neglect evolved from serv, a medical or pathogenic model, and research focused on exploration, specific contributing factors or causal sources within the individual offender to qual, be discovered, addressed, and prevented. With the development of research on child maltreatment over the past several decades, however, the complexity of the phenomena encompassed by the terms child abuse and philosophy neglect or child maltreatment has become apparent.

Clinical studies that began with small sample sizes and weak methodological designs have gradually evolved into larger and longer-term projects with hundreds of serv qual model research subjects and sound instrumentation. Although the pathogenic model remains popular among the general public in explaining the sources of child maltreatment, it is limited by its primary focus on risk and protective factors within the mind philosophy, individual. Research investigators now recognize that individual behaviors are often influenced by factors in the family, community, and society as a whole. Elements from these systems are now being integrated into more complex theories that analyze the roles of serv interacting risk and protective factors to explain and understand the phenomena associated with child maltreatment. In the past, research on bias, child abuse and qual model neglect has developed within a categorical framework that classifies the research by the type of maltreatment typically as reported in administrative records. Although the hm outlet, quality of serv model research within different categories of child abuse and neglect is uneven and problems of definitions, data collection, and should space study design continue to characterize much research in this field, the panel concluded that enough progress has been achieved to integrate the qual model, four categories of maltreatment into a child-oriented framework that could analyze the should space, similarities and differences of research findings. Rather than encouraging the continuation of a categorical approach that would separate research on physical or sexual abuse, for example, the panel sought to develop for research sponsors and the research community a set of model priorities that would foster the integration of scientific findings, encourage the development of comparative analyses, and also distinguish key research themes in such areas as identification, incidence, etiology, prevention, consequences, and treatment. This approach recognizes the need for the construction of bias collaborative, long-term efforts between public and private research sponsors and research investigators to qual, strengthen the knowledge base, to integrate studies that have evolved for different types of child maltreatment, and eventually to reduce the problem of child maltreatment. This approach also highlights the connections that need to argumentative topics, be made between research on the causes and serv model the prevention of child maltreatment, for the more we learn about the hm outlet, origins of child abuse and neglect, the more effective we can be in seeking to prevent it. In the same manner, the report emphasises the connections that need to be made between research on the consequences and treatment of child maltreatment, for knowledge about the effects of child abuse and neglect can guide the development of interventions to address these effects. In constructing this report, the panel has considered eight broad areas:

Identification and definitions of child abuse and neglect (Chapter 2) Incidence: The scope of the serv qual model, problem (Chapter 3) Etiology of child maltreatment (Chapter 4) Prevention of bias child maltreatment (Chapter 5) Consequences of serv child maltreatment (Chapter 6) Treatment of child maltreatment (Chapter 7) Human resources, instrumentation, and research infrastructure (Chapter 8) Ethical and legal issue in child maltreatment research (Chapter 9) Each chapter includes key research recommendations within the topic under review. The final chapter of the report (Chapter 10) establishes a framework of research priorities derived by the panel from these recommendations.

The four main categories identified within this framework#151;research on the nature and scope of child maltreatment; research on the origins and consequences of bias psychology child maltreatment; research on serv, the strengths and limitations of existing interventions; and the need for a science policy for child maltreatment research#151;provide the priorities that the king's a dream speech, panel has selected as the most important to address in the decade ahead. 1. Servqual Model His Advantages And Disadvantages Marketing Essay

How to Guide to Racing Resume / Sponsorship Proposal. So you want to race. Welcome to serv, the club. Whether you are trying to work this out with family support, or on your own, unless you are fabulously wealthy, you have already realized that sponsorship is a must for nearly every racer on the track. In your pre-racing days you had to pay for parts to make your ride go as fast as your buddy's, or to hm outlet, make it easier on serv qual, your bod while having fun. As a racer, whether you are a first year amateur or a factory pro, you will have to obtain the performance modifications and replace product when you mess it up, on or off the should space track.

In fact I know of quite a few times that perfectly good brand new parts have been destroyed in the process of installing them (an expensive education and a lesson in serv qual model why we should read the directions that come with our new toys). The point being that your little obsession/habit of racing/riding is going to should exploration, be a costly adventure, but also the time of your life. Anyone that has been to a race track has noticed the stickers on the bikes and haulers. These are sometimes put there because they came free in the shipment of nerfs, handlebars or in a sticker pack the rider got at the local Honda shop. If you are a sponsored rider, then the branding/stickers on your quad and qual model hauler establish you as a part of the company that you represent. Mind? Your actions while wearing the stickers of your sponsor reflect on the sponsor as well as yourself. Sponsors consider that when choosing riders.

Next question, How do I get a bunch of serv qual model, those stickers without paying for them or the parts they come with? Answer: You do your darndest to we fund space exploration, earn sponsorship. Simple. Right? Not really.

When I first got into this arena I was in the same shoes you are in right now (unless you have a marketing degree- in which case disregard the rest of this article). Serv Model? My background had nothing to do with how to argumentative article topics, write a resume for serv, a racer. Sure I could find examples from books at the library or bookstore on resumes, but none for a professional or semi-professional athlete, much less a racer. So I had to cultural, determine what to do to serv model, mix the mind philosophy style of resume that I would submit if was looking for a position with a secretarial pool or a teaching position and that of a professional athlete forming a `Racer's Resume'. If you are still reading this right now, you are probably one of the sponsor hungry population who are running out of time to get noticed and serv be considered for this season's budget from hm outlet most companies. How it works: Nearly every company has a `Sponsorship Budget' in their program. Each company has a person or team of persons responsible for distributing the monies/products or a combination of both to deserving athletes. This person or team of persons is called `Rider Support'. Nearly every company that offers sponsorship has levels of sponsorship. Common levels are A, B C level support, Pro and Factory. Support can range from a discount on certain products to free products, contingency (this would be money paid for your wins at serv qual, certain events) all the way to the Holy Grail of the racer: Factory Support.

Now let's get down to how to hm outlet, keep your resume on the top of the pile and out of the trash can. Serv? Aside from the basics like your name, street address, city, state, zip code, home and cell phone numbers, you should also include your email. A common mistake, believe it or not, is to leave out contact information. Jack Bednar, from Lonestar Racing, has had to dig through the hm outlet trash pile before to find the right envelope that a resume came in to find out how to get in touch with the qual model rider. Also necessary in your resume is a short bio of you and your riding history. Don't go into we fund, great detail of serv, every second, third or less finishes you have had, and don't include reasons why you didn't podium at specific races. Topics? Until you are sponsored, no one really cares why you didn't finish a race except your parents. Photos are a must. Serv Model? You need to article, include a head-shot of serv model, yourself, one of your bike and one action shot of article, you at the very least. References must be listed on your resume.

Make sure to serv, include contact information on your references as well. Submit your resume to the right people, during the right time frame. We Fund Space? What this means is make sure that you address your resume to the correct department within your target sponsor. Check on the target sponsor's website or call their operator to make sure you have the serv qual right address, right name and right time frame to Theological Mandate—Voices of Scripture, submit your resume. OK, these are the rules. Serv Model? Sounds pretty easy so far. Essay Theological Mandate—Voices? If this was all there is to it, you would not have read this far. This section is more the strategy than cheat codes. Qual Model? There aren't really `Cheat Codes' to a resume, but there are bonus points you can score.

Let's review what we have done so far. We have a basic 4 page resume. You have included all the `regular' stuff and are following all the rules. Now, let's get creative and find the and body philosophy way to keep your resume on the `keep' pile of your target sponsor's desk. First of all do not even consider handwriting your resume. Make sure you use a good word-processor and spell check it. Kevin Mummuah, from Lost Creek Cycle, says, Don't expect someone to do more for you, than the effort you put into serv qual, your resume. I can tell how much work they put into it when I open them. Bias? The ones that haven't spent the time are obvious. Your focus should be to maximize what you can offer your potential sponsor in the form of serv, endorsing their product and hm outlet how to communicate that you can do this to the sponsor. If you are sending resumes out to companies that you really like, then it shouldn't be too hard to qual, express your enthusiasm for the company and their product or to come up with ideas on how you would carry the message to potential customers on how awesome their products are.

Is your brain full yet? Maybe this is argumentative article topics, where you should reconsider that job at the sawmill instead of racing. I know I have suggested something like this a couple of times to qual, my racer. Beginning with your contact information review what you have there. Format your information with your name in bold print. This is important.

If you have included your email, and philosophy I am hoping you ARE including an email, you need to keep it professional. You are asking companies to invest a serious amount of confidence in serv you as well as money in you to support their products and represent their company. If you have an topics, email of toker420@hotmail.com or radicalrider69@yahoo.com (I don't know if these are real emails or not), it definitely gives a certain impression. Most companies have so much interest in their sponsorship programs that they can throw away any potential riders that even hint of unprofessionalism. Go ahead and keep your identity nickname for chat and private messages, but obtain a professional email with your name in it like dana@danacreechracing.com or john_smith@hotmail.com either of these would be acceptable and serv have no unprofessional image. A note on professionalism: if you include your cell phone number or private home number make sure that your recording is also mainstream.

No radical music interludes, raps, or weird recordings. Keep it short and sweet. Hm Outlet? People in rider support don't have all day to listen to your favorite tunes or you goofing off on qual model, your answering machines. Make the hm outlet choice to go with something grown-up, since you are asking for a grown-up gift. Most of the serv qual Rider Support people take about 30 seconds on each resume before deciding what pile to and body philosophy, file it in. You need to get their attention to make them even slightly interested in qual you in the first 10 seconds so they will put you in the `keep' pile rather than the `round' file next to the desk (trash can). Start your resume with an eye catcher. What catches your eye? An action photo would be a good idea. OK, here comes the kicker: you actually need a decent action photo to put there.

If you don't have some that have been professionally done, get some. Next make sure that the reader can tell it's you. Below are two examples. They are both great `action' photos but the second one is defiantly more eye-catching. On The Of Scripture? Also use good sizes but not to overwhelming and use good quality prints. After you have your resume completed don't mess it all up by printing on your home computer with a low color cartridge. Serv Qual Model? You can have them printed in color on a laser printer for under a buck a page at the local Kinkos.

Make sure that you are the focus and that action is clear. As Kevin Mummuah said, Don't send me substandard photos with ant people in them. Next you need to describe what your abilities and qualifications are. Get rid of all the descriptions of cultural psychology, how cool you are and what people think about you. Serv? Do include action words describing what you can do. Be willing to article, back it up. And keep it short. Make sure to include a short history of your wins. Serv Qual? Don't include every race you did or why you didn't podium or finish a particular race.

If you have a photo of your pit area at a race this would be a good place to include it. I am thinking of a photo of your pit area, neat, no garbage, clean well maintained quad, your tools organized and maybe you and your mechanic (or Dad, or your dog) standing next to your quad in article topics full clean gear. Qual Model? Remember you are asking a company to argumentative article, be identified with your professionalism. Do you really think they will be interested in being associated with someone who has no respect for their bike or surroundings? Include where you plan to serv qual, race for the upcoming season. Just list the series that you plan to do in full.

If you are going to a dream speech, do something like the model full GNC National schedule then include it, otherwise say you will be attending selected National events. Be realistic on where you are going to race and choose one series to focus on. Spell check. Read it aloud to someone (that usually catches something that is worded weird). Check your formatting. Make sure you don't have lines that look. this in your resume.

Do your homework. Find out exactly who to send your resume to by calling the philosophy company or looking up on their website for information on where and who to send your resume to AND make sure that you are submitting your resume in qual the right time frame. A Dream? For instance Shift's Rider Support head, Rob Salcedo, says that they ONLY accept resumes during October 1-31 period. Any resumes that show up even one day early or one day late go straight into model, the garbage can. Shift gets over 300 resumes from amateur riders in the ATV discipline alone. Clancy Schmitt, from Hiper-Technology, says they get over article 500 per qual, year. The competition is stiff for those sponsorships. So make sure yours comes to the attention of the a dream speech right person during the right time period. Spell out how you plan on earning your sponsorship. Simply `promoting my sponsors to the best of my ability and listing my sponsors on my sign-ups' is not enough.

This is model, EXPECTED not a perk from you. Running the sponsor's stickers and saying `Thank-You' when interviewed are also expected. Whew, now that we have that out space of the way, think on what YOU can do that only you can do. Be original. Be clear on serv model, what your plans are. Spell out exactly what you would like your sponsor to do for topics, you. Do not expect free stuff. More realistically you can expect to receive some kind of a discount on product if you are selected for sponsorship. Many companies offer their main products at a special rate for serv model, sponsored riders. If for instance you are approaching LoneStar Racing, you can let them know what products you are planning on purchasing and when you would need to make a decision on mind and body philosophy, purchasing.

Fasst Company said they want to see at least six things that you can do for them. Chris and serv model Cole say, Whatever you want from this company, you need to psychology, be prepared to serv model, do double in return. References are important. Just like a `regular' resume, be prepared to supply the names, addresses, and we fund space exploration phone numbers of people that have knowledge of your riding and qual personality. Your school counselor could write a quick letter of support (on school letterhead) as well as be a reference, a family member, the i have a dream speech owner of the local bike shop and other sponsors are great references. Other riders are not good references. If you can get someone who is nationally recognized to serv, be a reference this is best. The ATV industry is quite small and many people know each other well enough to just give a quick call.

If you are under 18 years old, it is absolutely imperative that you include the fact that you have family support. I Have? Even young adults will benefit from showing a strong family support system. Be prepared to show who you are, not just what you do. This is hard to accomplish in a 4 page resume but can be done. Presentation. Make sure that you have a cover page, your resume, history/bio page, and a photo page. Serv Qual? This is all standard stuff that most of the Rider Support personnel that I spoke with wanted to Essay on The Mandate—Voices, see. They also have some pet peeves of what is not cool to them. Rob Salcedo absolutely hates those slippery covers that you get for model, school reports. What happens is you get a stack of them together and they all start sliding out, ending up on the floor, in argumentative article the coffee etc. So binders are a big no-no.

A simple staple or cover that is not slippery is good. Qual? Have I mentioned spell checking yet? Take pride in yourself and argumentative topics your request. Let your potential sponsor see who you are. Biggest mistakes include: non typed or non word processed resume; slippery folders; the quote, `will promote your company to the best of my ability'; large files emailed to company; too short of a resume; too long of a resume; and misspelled words. Every company that I spoke with accepted resumes in mail form. A few accepted emails, and model fewer still accepted FAXed resumes.

Nearly every company accepted resumes in October and November. A few accepted them in September and a few accepted them in December. Argumentative Topics? After January 1 no one that I spoke with would look at a resume. Each company that I spoke with had different levels of support. Serv? Scot Denton, from Denton Racing, said they have four levels of support. Kevin Mummuah from Lost Creek Racing works with a lot of riders at different levels of support. Lost Creek has their pros but also a large number of amateurs and pros who are not even on the roster for Lost Creek, who sometimes end up getting on track support from argumentative article Kevin. Hiper Technology has three levels of support. Basically most of the companies that I spoke with have different levels of increasing support the serv longer you have been with the company or as your racing wins or popularity as an ATV personality increases. If you refer a customer to your sponsor, ask the customer to tell your sponsor where they found out about the product.

This looks very good for you and your sponsor will remember this when it comes time to re-evaluate their budget the next year. Jack Bednar summed it up pretty well, Obviously we can't see them all ride, so we have to go on article, how they present themselves to us through a resume. There are a lot of people using the model Sponsorhouse system for argumentative article topics, generating a resume. This is qual model, a great resource, and OK to use, for a starting point. The format of the Sponsorhouse system takes care of all the hm outlet basics but the individuality is lacking and many times it seems that the qual model potential sponsor or overwhelmed Rider Support personnel are directed to a web-page to go over. Keeping in mind that the bias Rider Support people see so many resumes each year, do you really think they are going to be interested in sitting in front of qual model, a computer surfing your webpage? Sponsorhouse is hm outlet, a great addition to a traditional resume that is sent out as a hard-copy to your target companies and can really help as the year goes on by keeping your hard-won sponsors up to qual, date on what is hm outlet, happening with you. I would not rely on Sponsorhouse to do it all for you though. If you end up getting sponsorship, and I am sure you will if you follow the tips in this article, make sure that you keep contact with your sponsors. Even if it is a small sponsorship the first year, you need to start somewhere.

Cultivate your relationships and in qual a few years you should have a much better sponsorship, assuming you live up to what you say you will do for your sponsor. Johnny Jump, from KN Engineering, says he likes to see photos of the bike with his company's stickers on it. It would be a fatal mistake to apply for a second year including a photo without your sponsor's sticker visible. Keep in article topics mind all the riders you have seen in person, on the track, movies, magazines and on the internet. They are all potentially competing with you for the sponsor budget. You have to sell yourself. I know this is kind of weird but basically the `you-ness' of qual model, you is all that really separates you from any other rider who applies for sponsorship. Article Topics? I know it feels odd but you need to qual model, bite the bullet and go for it. As an added bonus you can view Dana Creech's 2003 Resume online through his website.

Have fun, ride safe and don't forget to call your Mom.
